Came back from Greenbelt Festival today, and it was awesome. The first night we discovered a band called Peggy Sue who sound really good. They reminded me of Beirut a little, which is definately a good thing. Later that night we went to a rave ‘till 2 in the morning.
The next day we went to an open mic night, and played infront of at least 400 people. The crowd was crazy, and they made us play an extra song. Duke Special played that night, too. I’d never listened to them before, but it was probably one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to. Following this, on Sunday we busked and got quite a crowd again. I think we managed to sell some CDs, too!
Last night we went to see Athlete who were amazing live, though there were some annoying people infront of me talking through the whole set. Whilst walking around the festival at 1 in the morning, we bumped into them and got chatting about music! It was pretty crazy.

Rain. I hate you so much. We were supposed to be busking in Birmingham today, but the rain went and messed all that up. Just as I persuaded people it had stopped, it started again.
We had a gig with Forgetting Gravity and Smile Like Texas last night. It went pretty well, though the venue was really small. I guess this provided a nice atmosphere for the night, and we didn’t screw up too much. I managed to cut my finger open and splash blood all up Matts guitar, which wasn’t too nice.
We get our GCSE results tomorrow. Good luck to me, I guess.

Oh man, I love fanart! I’ll probably upload some more when I find it on my computer. Practice was awesome today. We made Hers To Keep sound sick, and we spent ages in the kitchen, as the acoustics in there are amazing. More practice tomorrow, and then we’re doing an open mic night on the Monday night. Tuesday we have a gig, Wednesday we’re busking in Birmingham all day, Thursday we get our GCSE results, and Friday we head off to Greenbelt to busk all weekend.
Things just seem to be going right lately!
